The tour starts in Karden and heads uphill toward Binningen. After about 100 meters, you’ll leave the main road to follow the quiet road to the Windhäuser Höfe (6–10% grade) and continue on to Möntenich. Past Möntenich, the bike path leads along paved farm roads, passing the Schwanenkirche—a former pilgrimage church—on the way to Roes and on to Pyrmont Castle. The tour continues along the K 27 and then along the bike path parallel to the K 35 to Pillig. Via Sevenich and Wierschem, the route leads to the parking lot at Eltz Castle. From Münstermaifeld, the bike path runs through the Schrumpbach Valley (7 km; 4.5 km of which is downhill), past 15 mills, to Hatzenport. Returning via the Moselle Cycle Route, past Moselkern and Müden, the bike tour ends back in Treis-Karden.

Parking is available in Treis-Karden near the train station and the tourist information office in the town center.
The loop trail begins and ends in Treis-Karden on the Moselle. The route starts with a challenging uphill climb through Möntenich and past the Schwanenkirche to Pyrmont Castle. From there, it continues through Pillig and Wierschem to the parking lot of the famous Eltz Castle. From here, the castle can be reached on foot (800 m or 1.3 km) or by shuttle bus. From Münstermaifeld, an idyllic section follows through the Schrumpfbach Valley, past 15 historic mills, down to Hatzenport. The relaxed return trip then proceeds on flat terrain along the Moselle Cycle Path.
