The start of this walk is at Heckingplatz/Heckingstraße. At the Rathauskreisel, first turn onto the street "Auf dem Graben" to reach the viewpoint "Klein Venedig." The route continues to Pferdemarkt, then through the small alleys past the parish church to Saarburg's best-known square (Buttermarkt) with the waterfall. Through Graf-Siegfried-Straße you return to the starting point.
You can reach Saarburg from the direction of Trier or Saarbrücken via the B 51. Coming from Hermeskeil or Perl, the B 407 leads into the city of Saarburg.
