The circular route is marked with black letters and the number 2 (Bi2) and starts in the heart of the small Eifel community. Via "Dechant-Schmitz-Straße" the route leaves Binsfeld. It goes steadily downhill until after about 600 m the Linsenbach is crossed. Soon the circular route turns left and continuously ascends from KM 1 before it meets the cycle path between Arenrath and Herforst after about 3 km in the forest. About 500 m further, the circular hike leaves the cycle path briefly and leads past a historic wayside cross. Shortly after, both paths lead together through the nature reserve "Tongruben bei Binsfeld" back to the village. The remarkable nature reserve covers about 17 hectares and is a man-made paradise for rare animal and plant species listed on the Red List. After the end of clay and gravel extraction, numerous bodies of water have formed here, which are now used as habitats by newts, toads, frogs, dragonflies, and many other species.
