DB route from Trier to Saarbrücken up to Schoden train station.

Walk past the trout ponds heading towards the wine village of Ockfen. Cross the main road and walk uphill past the small Marienkapelle. At the next fork, take the left path, which continues through the fields. After about 150 m, take the next path left again and continue straight ahead. Enjoy the view of Ockfen and the parish church of St. Valentin during the leisurely walk. The next paved path on the left leads you to the Ockfen sports field. Continue to follow this path to the Abbey of St. Martin. There turn left again and you will return to the starting point of your hike.
Please note that this hiking trail is not a certified premium trail and there is no continuous signage of the route. Furthermore, the path partly runs on paved farm roads and not on narrow trails.
