Hikers want narrow paths, natural routes (over forest floor, grass paths, or along streams), and rocky ascents that lead to spectacular views. It goes without saying that these paths must be walked with special attention.
What you should consider on your hike:
- Wear weather-appropriate, functional clothing that protects you from cold and wet or heat and sun.
- Plan your hike with adequate breaks and conserve your strength.
- Take sufficient fluids with you. Not everywhere offers food or drink stops.
- Please wear appropriate hiking boots that give you sufficient grip even on slippery and steep or rocky and uneven paths.
- If you believe some trail sections are impassable for you, you should bypass or turn around. Especially in bad weather conditions, natural paths can have muddy and slippery sections.
- Especially in autumn, be aware that leaf cover on the ground can hide unevenness, roots, stones, or holes in the path.
- You must expect such path impediments when hiking.
- Before your hike, check online at https://www.traumpfade.info/traumpfaedchen/wege-status/ to see if the Traumpfädchen you plan to hike is possibly closed, if detours exist, if trail construction work is planned, or if logging or other disturbances are happening.
- Recommended hiking months: April to October.
The Traumpfädchen are not suitable for strollers or walkers.
