Arrival: Bus and train to Bengel
From Bengel, hike (1 km) to Springiersbach, from where the circular hiking trail begins
The starting point is the public parking lot at the Springiersbach monastery church.
From here, follow a farm track past the Springiersbach hiking hut towards Kondelwald. At the bridge over the Springiersbach stream (on the left), take a well-developed forest path. At the end of the route, turn right onto the paved forest road and follow the signs for No. 4.
Here you will experience the diverse flora and fauna of our Kondelwald with views of Bengel and the Alftal valley. Birdsong and animal tracks will accompany you along the way. The return path leads around the Hommerichskopf with views of Bengel, pastures, and orchard meadows. Continue to the Pestkreuz, keep right there. At the Jacobs Cross you can take a rest. A wonderful view of Springiersbach and its monastery church invites you to linger.
At the next fork in the path, keep left to reach the Springiersbach farm. From here, you can already see the bell tower of the monastery church.
At the end of the route, turn left back towards Springiersbach and the starting point, the parking lot at the monastery church.
