A successful combination of Mosel wine cultural landscape and technical features, plus views and nature experiences. This could be the motto of this winter trail hike.
The start and end points Bullay and Reil are well connected by the Mosel wine railway. The route (follow the Moselsteig marking or from Marienburg to Bullay the Moselsteig access route marking) can be hiked in both directions.
Highlights include the double-deck bridge Bullay-Alf, Marienburg, the observation tower on the Prinzenkopf, the Pündericher Hangviaduct, the Leo rock, as well as the view and chapel on the Reiler Hals. So many highlights concentrated on just an 8 km route! And in between wonderful paths through forest and vineyards.
At the end, the gastronomic establishments in Bullay and Reil offer choices while waiting for the return journey with the Mosel wine railway. Although the return trip only takes 5 minutes, it is again an experience.
