By train (Easter to October): take the Moselle Wine Train to the Kövenig stop, then take the ferry to Enkirch. About 150m from the ferry to the starting point.
By bus with line 333 (Moselle train, Trier-Bullay) or line 720 (Bullay-Traben-Trarbach) to the Enkirch stop. About 150m to the starting point.
From the Tourist Information, we cross the main street and turn left at "Pino's Pizzeria" into the street "Im Bungert". Passing the estate tavern "Weingut-Conrad" on the right, we hike to the vineyard "Steffensberg." Here we turn left and follow the signpost E 2 (viticulture educational trail, Moselle Heights Trail, 5 Valleys View).
We continue hiking uphill on the paved path until we reach the pavilion (beautiful view). Now we continue left on the paved path until we turn right and reach the height. Here the path forks. We leave the paved path here and continue straight ahead on the field path uphill to the 5 Valleys View (most beautiful view of Enkirch and its valleys).
Now we hike downhill to the right, turn left at the second path which leads us through vineyards to the forest (nice view of the Großbachtal). The hike now continues always following the paved path downhill and winding into the Großbachtal. We walk right through the valley along the tennis court, the old swimming pool, Hotel Neumühle, Hinkelplatz back to Enkirch.
