With almost no incline, you cycle the entire time on a dedicated cycle path right next to the Moselle and enjoy the nature and views of the river on this gentle cycle tour. It is always worth planning breaks to visit the charming villages and the town of Traben-Trarbach.
This enjoyable tour leads through beautiful Moselle villages from Traben-Trarbach to Kinheim and through stunning natural scenery!
By car, drive to the Traben district as far as the tourist information office "Am Bahnhof 5".
Take the train to Traben station.
Take bus no. 333 from Bernkastel to Traben central bus station (bicycles can be taken).
Paid parking spaces are available at the tourist information office.
From Traben station, cross the bridge into the district of Trarbach. Follow the road to the crossroads and cross the road (Caution: dangerous crossroads!). Then follow the cycle path in the direction of Traben-Trarbach/Wolf. Continue along the cycle path until you reach Kinheim/ Kindel. There you cross the bridge to Kinheim and cycle in the opposite direction back towards Kröv and Traben-Trarbach. Once in Traben-Trarbach, leave the banks of the Moselle and take the street "Im Trehl". At the end of the road, keep right and you will reach Traben railroad station again.
Always ride with a bicycle helmet.
