Middle Moselle Museum in the Baroque Villa Böcking
Goethe, Friedrich-Wilhelm IV and the French poet Apollinaire were all guests in the stately baroque villa of the Böcking merchant family, which today houses a gem among the museums of the Moselle region. In the more than 20 showrooms, valuable furniture and art paintings from three centuries are on display, as well as an extensive collection on the town history of Traben-Trarbach. If you still have some time, you should pay the museum a visit.

Old town tower
Of the original seven towers of the town fortification, only two have survived the test of time. In addition to the former half-open defence tower in Grabenstraße, the lavishly restored "Old Town Tower" now serves as a lookout tower. A special attraction is the carillon installed there for the city's anniversary in 2004, which was extended by five bells in 2008.

Trarbach Protestant Church
The location of the church high above the town and the name "Auf Kästel" (Latin: castellum) suggest a Roman predecessor. The sacred building, which has undergone various extensions over the centuries, is first mentioned around 1330. The church was badly damaged in the great fire.Follow the steps up to the entrance door. If you like, you can count them and write the result in the log. At the top you will find a date above a door on the left.

Brückentor
The landmark of the twin town, completed in 1899, was - in connection with the iron arched bridge blown up in 1945 - the first building commission of the Berlin Art Nouveau architect Bruno Möhring in Traben-Trarbach. There is still a wine tavern inside today.

The ensemble of buildings was erected in the years 1906-1908 at the Traben bridgehead in the spirit of historicism. The rich ornamentation was created by the local sculptor Bernhard Wendhut.

The baroque building, in which the commander of the fortress "Mont Royal" is said to have originally lived, was moved from the mountain plateau to the banks of the Moselle after 1698, using original architectural parts.

Romantik Art Nouveau Hotel Bellevue
Built in 1903 by Möhring in Art Nouveau style, the hotel's interior has remained largely unchanged. A special feature is the oriel in the shape of a champagne bottle. The annual marks on the façade recall past flood disasters.
