The Herzblattweg is one of the newest hiking trails in the town of Bernkastel-Kues. It starts in the spa gardens on the Kueser Plateau. This hike offers views of the Moselle vineyards and various villages such as the wine village of Lieser, famous for its vineyards. It combines the attraction of the new spa gardens with the forest and meadow landscape of the plateau.
The circular tour starts, runs and ends in the newly designed spa gardens on the Kueser Plateau in Bernkastel-Kues. It is one of three new paths on the plateau.
The hiking trail is well signposted. It can be reached via Bernkastel-Kues, the spa clinics and the Kueser Plateau.

Parking spaces at the spa guest centre and at the hikers' car parkKueser Plateau, 54470 Bernkastel-Kues
The hike starts not far from the spa guest centre on the Kueser Plateau. From there, the route heads south towards Panoramastrasse. Cross the road and then turn slightly to the right. After crossing Dr.-Marx-Straße, the route soon continues along a vineyard path. After a small climb through the vineyards, the hike now runs through the forest. We soon leave the forest, cross the Moselhöhenweg and then turn right onto a dirt track. After a short while, the houses on the plateau come into view again. Still on the Moselhöhenweg, we walk past the Moselhöhen clinic back to the starting point.
No special instructions.
‘Normal’ clothing is perfectly adequate.
Be sure to take a picture. The view down to the wine village of Lieser, the vineyards and the river is worth remembering.
