The starting point is on the fairground in front of the tourist information office and leads you through one of the beautiful side valleys of Enkirch to wonderful vantage points in the Moselle valley.
By train (Easter to October): take the Moselle Wine Train to the Kövenig stop, then take the ferry to Enkirch - the current ferry times can be found at the following link: https://www.enkirch.de/gemeinde-enkirch/buerger-info/personenfaehre/. To the starting point approx. 150m from the ferry.
By bus on line 333 (Moselbahn, Trier-Bullay) or line 720 (Bullay-Traben-Trabach) to the Enkirch stop. Approx. 150m to the starting point
Through the Enkirch Großbachtal valley and the famous Steffensberg vineyard site, we reach the Klause Catholic church and walk to the right of the stream (leaving the church to our left) through the forest to the main road, which we cross and follow the footpath towards the "Club-unter-uns" hut. Here we can fortify ourselves for the rest of the hike with a slice of Enkirch bacon cake and a glass of fresh Mosel-Federweißer.Many wonderful views of the Moselle, Hunsrück and Eifel accompany us on this high-level trail before we head back downhill through the vineyards towards the festival site at the music pavilion and "Rottenblick" viewpoint (where we are rewarded with a wonderful panoramic view of the Moselle valley).
