We can expect a beautiful hiking route with magnificent views.
The start is at the boule field in Platten. Along the way through vineyards and forest we encounter spectacular views into the Wittlich valley and on the other side a panoramic view over the Moselle loop hills towards the Moselle. At a small rest stop on the way in the "Green Classroom" with brought treats and a good glass of wine, we enjoy the view and learn interesting information about nature on the information boards. Back along the fields and through the forest we soon reach the starting point again.
Hike from Platten through vineyards and forest
By car via the A1 or A60 to the Kreuz Wittlich motorway exit, then continue via E42/B50 towards Platten, follow the road, turn right at the next exit into the town of Platten, follow the main street, cross the bridge and then the first opportunity to the right, after 50 meters you have reached your destination.
By train to the Wittlich main station, then by bus line 301 to Platten. From here, about 5 minutes on foot to the start. Further information at www.vrt-info.de and www.bahn.de

The route leads from Platten through the vineyards, past the Marienkapelle with a great view over the Wittlicher valley. Further into the forest, over the Meisberg and towards Grainskopf to the starting point of the paragliders. Here, in good weather, you can see along the surrounding hills down to the Moselle. A little further along the way, in the "Green Classroom" near Siebenborn, a patch of land initiated and created by the "Moselle Loop Hills Nature Park Initiative," is worth a rest. Then back through vineyards and forest to Platten.

From the paragliding site you can also walk about 500 m further to the Trinity and then take the next possible path left back to the Trinity viewpoint tower. A detour of about 30-45 minutes that is worth it.
