Accompanied by Dör- and Gumbach, Bruch 1 initially follows the valley course to Niersbach along forest paths. The charming Eifel village was known for its first-class pottery craft well into the 19th century. The potter's fountain in the village center and the potter's street still testify to the former splendor of the pottery art today. In the small district of Greverath, the lovingly designed rest area with a water-treading basin invites you to linger. Culture-historically interested hikers will enjoy the old village smithy in the village center before leaving Greverath via Lindenstraße. Over the next kilometers, it goes over natural forest paths along the lively Gladbach to the village of the same name with a remarkable church, old teacher's house, and former mills. The return path to Bruch impresses once again with quiet forest passages before Burg Bruch invites you to stop at the end of the tour.

On rainy days, especially the forest passages can be slippery.
Hiking shoes with good tread and poles for support on uphill and downhill sections are recommended.
Burg Bruch features a very nicely designed beer garden as well as a restaurant in the former tithe barn with excellent regional cuisine.
