The approximately 4 km long Salmtal 2 hiking trail starts at the community center in the Old School in the small district Dörbach. Consistently marked with the trail mark (St2), the small loop requires no big gestures and is unspectacular in the best sense of the word. Carried by the sound of the pattering Bendersbach, the scent of blooming meadows, and the peace in the forest, the senses are grounded and the mind becomes quiet. "Salmtal 2" lives from its reduction and allows room for personal pace. Mindful walking is deliberately the focus of this hike. Peacefully ruminating cattle, curiously grazing sheep, and lovingly placed benches along the path as well as the small chapel on Kellerberg invite you to linger and consciously relax and complete the holistic nature experience.

From the community center, first go left over the sandstone bridge across the Bendersbach before turning left onto the street "Zum Angelsteg". After about 100 meters, the circular hike turns left onto a field path and crosses the Bendersbach again via a wooden footbridge. The route follows the paved field path along blooming meadows and is accompanied by the pattering of the Bendersbach. At the end of the field path, Salmtal 2 turns right, crosses the Bendersbach once more before continuing on the left. Immediately near the stream, a rustic wooden bench invites you to linger. It continues towards the district road K40, which is crossed carefully. Continue straight ahead; soon the natural path narrows, ascends, and leads into the forest until it joins the forest road. Continue on the right. Following the St2 marking, the small circular hike leads the next good two kilometers along a clear, well-walkable path through mixed forest, whose floor consists of moss fields, leaf layers, and the shadow lines of old beeches. Across the street "Am Waldrand" it goes past the sports field steadily uphill to the small chapel on Kellerberg.

On his initiative as a member of the Schönstatt community, a wayside shrine with the image of grace of the "Thrice Admirable Mother, Queen, and Victress of Schönstatt" was erected in July 1947 in Salmtal (district Dörbach).
When the shrine was no longer sufficient for the believers, the current chapel was built on the same site in 1965, which over the years has developed into a small place of power. From the chapel, first follow the leaf-covered forest path to the intersection, before the circular hike follows the paved service road downhill to return to the village and the starting point at the community center.

In particular, the small ascent over the narrow path into the forest can be slippery after rainy days. Hiking poles and shoes with slip-resistant soles provide sure-footedness.
The small Salmtal round also relies on reduction in terms of equipment. A small backpack with drinking water is recommended.
