Thematically, the trail is accompanied by two aspects: the Moselle loop hills and the wall lizard – as the key species of the Moselle vineyards. The special feature of this path is the many artistically designed habitat aids.
Insights into the hiking route:
The circular route begins at the Siebenborn hiking parking lot and leads from there past a life tower up through the vineyards of Maring-Noviand to the Green Classroom. The first thematic section of the path focuses on the history of the Moselle loop hills. Numerous information boards accompany hikers and vividly explain the origin of the river valley. From several seating areas, there are great views of the unique landscape of the loop hills. The second part of the path is dedicated to the wall lizard – here former stairways of the vineyard walls are artistically redesigned into various habitat elements that serve as ecological stepping stones within the biotope network. Here you learn a lot about the habitat of the lizards.
On the adventure trail at Maring-Noviand on the Moselle, visitors learn interesting facts about the origin of the Moselle valley and the habitat of the common wall lizard.
Coming from Bernkastel-Kues, follow the L47 towards Trier through Lieser in the Kues district, turn right in town to stay on Moselstraße, and follow the road to Maring-Noviand.

Free parking spaces are available at Siebenborn Monastery.
The route starts at the Siebenborn Monastery in Maring-Noviand. Passing the monastery, we turn left at the water treading basin. Past a picturesque winery, we turn right after about 200 meters. From here, the vineyards begin. It is now not far to one of the numerous stations on this hiking trail.

Hiking or trekking shoes, possibly backpack provisions.
At the end of the hike, make a short stop at the water treading basin at Siebenborn Monastery and do something good for your feet.
