Mosel Cycle Path Section 7: From Traben-Trarbach to Bullay

The seventh stretch of the Moselle Cycle Route leads from the traditional Art Nouveau town of Traben-Trarbach to Enkirch. It is worth leaving the cycle path for a short time in order to take a closer look at the treasure trove of traditional Rhineland half-timbered houses. As you cycle along the narrow lanes of the wine-making town, the beautifully carved street signs will catch your eye as well as the diverse gable and bay decorations to be found on the town's carefully restored half-timbered houses. Back on the Moselle Cycle Route, the journey continues via Burg to the wine-producing village of Pünderich. The village’s historic centre, with its stylishly restored half-timbered buildings, provides the perfect backdrop for taking a break. The cycle path then leads through the wine-making village of Briedel to Zell (Mosel), home to the "Zeller Schwarze Katz” vineyard. Here the Moselle Cycle Route changes to the left side of the river via a bridge. Now it isn't far to Bullay, the end stop for this part of the tour, where the town's historic railway bridge awaits. Germany’s first double-decker, steel framework bridge traverses the Moselle - the top for trains, the bottom for road traffic.
