The beautiful Moselle Valley route starting in Waldesch offers insights into various landscapes. In good weather, you can see from the heights of the Hunsrück to the Eifel. The descent to the Moselle lets the Mediterranean flair of the river flow in before passing wooded huts and animal enclosures back to the starting point.
A short e-bike circular route:
Waldesch - Kondertal - Untermosel - Carolahöhe viewpoint - Forsthaus Remstecken - Marienkapelle - Waldesch
The bike route is not separately signposted. Use GPS navigation and follow the bike route signs with green letters on a white background.
Easily accessible via the Hunsrückhöhenstraße B327 from Koblenz and also from the Hunsrück.
There is also a good connection from the B327 to the A61 motorway.
Waldesch is also very easily accessible directly from the Mosel (Kondertal) and the Rhein (Rhens).

Starting in Waldesch, the route leads along the Eschbach through a beautiful forest patch into the Kondertal. The path winds down the Kondertal to the Mosel. Upon reaching the Mosel, you travel about 2 km along the B49 to Lay. The return route is taken via the Layer Bergweg, passing the viewpoint "Carolahöhe". Here, the steepest part of the route is completed, and you are rewarded with a magnificent view over the Moselle Valley and into the Eifel. Past a forest-hidden shelter, the tour leads via the Remstecken, the shelter in Flürchen, and the Waldescher shelter back to the starting point in Waldesch.

- Despite all the idyll - pay close attention to traffic in some places.
- Always move at a controlled speed to be able to avoid any obstacles in good time.
- In case of an accident, call 112 and share your location.

- Weather-appropriate cycling clothing, possibly in layers
- Bicycle helmet
- Enough to drink and possibly some snacks
- Depending on the weather, sun or rain protection, as well as insect/tick protection
