From the scenic St. Hubertus Church in Hupperath, the short, varied route leaves the charming Eifel village via Schusterweg. Along blooming meadows and fields, it initially climbs to the forest edge. With the newly created Eifel Pilgrim Cycle Path and the connecting path of the Eifelsteig experience loop "Säubrennerroute," the circular route soon turns right into the dense, fragrant forest. For about 500 meters, the cycle and Eifelsteig partner path accompany us, then the HU3 marking points left. Over soft forest trails, the route winds for the next 2 kilometers through the Wittlich West state forest. Upon leaving the forest, the view sweeps over the vast Eifel landscape. Over the heights, it returns toward the village with fascinating views. Shortly before reaching the L34 highway, the circular route turns left. Over field and meadow paths, it passes a lovingly designed rest area and beautiful cottage gardens back to the start.
The small, 5 km long circular hike "HU3" around the charming Eifel village of Hupperath starts opposite St. Hubertus Church and offers magnificent panoramic views and beautiful nature paths.
Hupperath is accessible from the Wittlich Mitte motorway exit (A1/A48) towards Wittlich, along the bypass, past the sports center via K 54/L34.

Opposite the church, there are free parking spaces and/or parking at the hotel when visiting the Eifeler Hof.

Shoes with a good tread provide sure footing even on damp forest paths.
Hiking poles for support are recommended.
