Walk around the Saarburger Kreuzberg

From the parking lot at the valley station, walk to the reception and then through the park towards the viewing tower "Saarburger Kreuzberg". The route continues towards Ayl. In the town center, you will find numerous wine gastronomy businesses (see: https://www.saar-obermosel.de/wein/gastrofuehrer). It is worth taking a break here. Refreshed, hike uphill from the wine route towards the barbecue hut. The path leads you back to the holiday park and the parking lot at the valley station.

On this walk around the Saarburger Kreuzberg, you will find stunning views of Saarburg and the Saar.

Approach

Following the street "In den Urlaub" uphill, you reach the mountain station of the chairlift and the parking lot.

Public transport

Saarburg is located on the DB line Saarbrücken-Trier.

Parking

Free parking is available at the mountain station of the chairlift.

Further free and all-day parking is available at the starting point, near the swimming pool/at the city car park and the parking lot opposite the entrance to the REWE market.

Additional paid parking is available directly at Saarburg station.
