A Glimpse into the Saar-Hunsrück Nature Park
Start: Warsberg Walking Trail Easy 30 min 2.0 km
A two-kilometer-long accessible walking path to the Warsberg Vacation Park, featuring several seating areas and rest stops that invite you to linger.
The trail begins 100 meters past the top station of the Saarburg chairlift. The highlight of the tour is the lookout point halfway along the trail, which offers a beautiful view of the Saar-Hunsrück Nature Park. At the end of the walking trail, it connects to a regional hiking trail network that leads, for example, to the Kreuzberg lookout point, the St. Lambert Chapel, or to Ayl. These destinations can also be combined into a loop hike.

Why not combine your outing with a ride on the Saarburg chairlift!

During the 700-meter ride between the town of Saarburg and the mountain station on the Warsberg, you’ll enjoy magnificent views of the Saar Valley. An elevator is available at the chairlift’s mountain station. Wheelchair users must be able to sit independently to use the chairlift.

You can reach Saarburg via Federal Highways 51 and 407.

From Saarburg, follow the signs to Landal Warsberg Vacation Park.

DB route from Trier to Saarbrücken to the Saarburg station.

Parking spaces, including spaces for people with disabilities, are available across from the chairlift’s upper station.
The trail begins 100 meters past the top station of the Saarburg chairlift. At first, the trail runs through the forest until it reaches the “Naturparkblick” lookout point, where it then runs parallel to the road. When you reach the reception area of the Landal vacation park, turn slightly right again into the forest until you reach the end of the easy section of the trail.

From here, you have the option of hiking to the beautiful wine village of Ayl or the Kreuzberg lookout point, which offers a panoramic view of the Saar Valley. These destinations are no longer accessible to people with disabilities.

The Saarburg summer toboggan run is located right next to the chairlift's upper station, and the Landal Warsberg vacation park's playground is 800 meters away.
