Along the way, you will meet the little Wichtel Widu and many forest animals. The children from the "CLUB of good deeds" of the Child Protection League in Wittlich came up with this and wish you lots of fun with Widu!
The starting point is in the Wittlicher Grünewald near the Sports Club Lüxem clubhouse.
Just scan the QR code on the sign at the starting point in Grünewald and off you go.
The duration of the route is about 1 hour (including reading/listening to the story)

Do you feel like a little hike following the footsteps of luck?
By car: From the A1, take the Wittlich-Mitte exit and keep right towards Rudolf-Diesel-Straße and Kurfürstenstraße. Follow the road straight for 1 km and at the end of the road turn right onto Burgstraße. At the next roundabout, take the second exit and turn right onto Koblenzer Straße. Follow this for about 2 kilometers until you reach the Bernkastel/Wittlich municipal hospital. After the parking lot, turn right onto the field path. You will reach the destination after a few hundred meters.
The Wittlich shuttle can be contacted at 06571 172999 and a ride to the Bernkastel/Wittlich municipal hospital can be booked. Please note that the Wittlich shuttle only operates within Wittlich and its 5 districts.
You can park your car on the left side of the SV Lüxem clubhouse.
Please handle the Wichtelweg carefully so it can be preserved as long as possible and bring joy to many people!
No special equipment is needed, but wear sturdy footwear.
The hiking trail is perfectly suited as a small family hike.
